A.J. White
AJ was born and raised in Naotkamegwanning First Nation (Whitefish Bay) Ontario located on historic Lake Of The Woods. AJ has 4 sons to which he can draw inspiration from each and every day.
He sings and travels with the well known heard of dinosaurs, the Whitefish Bay Singers. AJ enjoys singing and composing songs that both exemplify his experiences and also experiences through stores of friends around him.
"I hope to all those that listen to the songs on this recording, with an open mind, understand that I didn't want to make a contemporary round dance record. I wanted to keep the contemporary part with the use of English words, but also to focus on the harmonizing of the vocals and on two tracks, the traditional roots as well. The outcome of this approach in this recording, geared towards the casual listener , for those long rides home from a Pow-wow or a quant evening at home with family.
